Si tratta della spettacolare spiaggia nera davanti alla Laguna di Jokulsarlon, nella regione Sud dell'Islanda. Il ghiacciaio che crea la laguna cade dentro la laguna stessa, le cui acque sboccano in mare poco dopo. Qua gli iceberg del ghiacciaio, ancora in gran parte integri, vengono frantumati dalle onde e i pezzi di ghiaccio si riversano sulla spiaggia, creando un paesaggio mozzafiato.
