Bronze Award all'Epson Pano Awards 2018. Panoramica da 5 scatti. Non c'è nessuno. Cammino sulla sabbia in mezzo a queste formazioni che appaiono come la scenografia preparata per qualche film. Sembra impossibile che sia stata la sola forza dell'erosione a scolpire queste forme. Il sole basso forma delle lunghe ombre scontrandosi con i pinnacoli. La mia ombra si confonde tra le altre. Un paio di foto. Un po' di pioggia. Copro la macchina fotografica. Che palle! Mi giro. L'arrabbiatura per questa pioggia a cui non posso sottrarmi sparisce. Un grande e completo arcobaleno è stato disegnato in cielo, sembra solo per me. Corro verso il lato opposto dell'avvallamento in cui sono, per avere la posizione migliore per una foto che qualcuno sta cercando di regalarmi. Troppo lontano. Mi fermo e mi accontento di dove sono. Il rischio che finisca tutto in pochi secondi è reale. Riesco a fare qualche scatto. Un secondo arcobaleno, solo accennato, si aggiunge al primo. Mi sembra quasi troppo. Il cielo ha dei colori così cangianti, per via dell'azzurro misto al grigio delle nuvole cariche di pioggia, che l'arcobaleno sembra quasi un tunnel. Non più di 30 secondi. Finito. Se non avessi rinunciato ad arrivare nel punto migliore non avrei nulla.
