Xattus significa gatto in Maltese (pronuncia: attùs, plurale: Qtates che si pronuncia: 'tàtes) Un simpatico e affettuoso micio incontrato agli Upper Barakka Gardens a Valletta (Malta). In questo giardino monumentale della Capitale Maltese, dalla terrazza sottostante quale, alle 12 ed alle 16 vengono sparati, dopo una breve cerimonia militare, dei colpi di cannone a salve (chiamati Saluting Battery), si possono godere: • una spendida e suggestiva veduta sul Grand Harbour (il grabde porto) di Valletta e sulle città antistanti (se mi sarà venuto uno scatto decente proverò a postarlo); • la compagnia di diversi gatti di "nessuno" ma di tutti, perché vengono nutriti dai numerosi turisti, dai custodi del giardino e dai proprietari di un piccolo bistrot, che hanno provvduto addirittura a procurare delle piccole cucce dove i mici possono trovare riparo. Come tutti i gatti, alcuni sono diffidenti e un po' schivi, ma la maggior parte sono molto affettuosi e ben tenuti e non disdegnano, oltre che a un pezzetto di panino o di cibo vario anche carezze e coccole di vario genere. Una bella esperienza.. sicuramente suggestiva e fotograficamente interessante, sia per timelapse che panorami o macro sui fiori del giardino ben curato e soprattutto per ritratti di gattoni che si prestano a fare volentieri da modelli, come in questo caso. Consigliato!!

Dunque tendo a minimizzare al massimo la postproduzione stando attento a non alterare ciò che sono riuscito a fare con le mie manine sante!
Il gattone, poi.. dopo essersi fatto fotgrafare è sceso dal terrazzino dove si trovava e si è fatto coccolare per un buon quarto d'ora!!
