Una visione d'insieme della Valle del Bove al tramonto. Penso sempre alla magnificenza di questa area, nata dal collasso del vecchio edificio vulcanico, incredibile. Non so se la foto riesce a trasmettere efficacemente la bellezza del posto, ma personalmente non mi stanco mai di osservare il vulcano da questa prospettiva. Proprio qui ho trascorso davvero tante e tante ore, in ogni condizione climatica e in ogni stagione. Legati a questo punto ho un'infinità di ricordi che inevitabilmente riaffiorano non appena mi piazzo in attesa (e nella speranza) che le condizioni di luce siano favorevoli. La zona scura in prossimità dei coni centrali è causata da piccole e cicliche emissioni di cenere che si stanno verificando in questo periodo e che ogni tanto vengono spostate dal vento ricadendo sul manto nevoso adiacente.
