Quest'anno, come lo scorso, ho avuto la fortuna di passare due settimane a Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. Come ogni anno, centinaia di esemplari attendono il congelamento della baia di Hudson per andare a caccia di foche e lasciare la terraferma che offre davvero poco. Questa mamma con i suoi piccoli, percorreva la spiaggia ormai ghiacciata in attesa che il freddo polare ed il vento finissero la loro parte. Ancora un paio di giorni e sarebbe potuta andare a caccia.
