The first time with the rate sent on February 06, 2017 (21:30) by Fabio Vegetti. 14 comments, 985 views. [retina]

at 600mm, 1/1000 f/6.3, ISO 640, hand held. Etosha National Park, Namibia. Specie: Mellivora capensis

#wild

Great to photograph a mellivora so detailed. :-or
I also saw a namibian couple near the Etosha, obviously the area, but the driver, who ran like a madman with a multiplier, was nailed because he was not even seeing them: they are very rare And, as you wrote, too fierce and unmanageable.
I did a bit of time in pointing that duo with Sigma 500 7.2 or so, but the picture is moved by the time and the urgency of framing it. : - /
I did not know it was also called honey rate, but in fact the name mellivora etymologically means honey cheesecake. 8-)

Great Fabio !!!
Having seen a dozen times in various travels, but never photographed sharply because of the light and the perennial movement of this aggressive mammal.

Seen live in Namibia, at night in Halali's camp emptied all the dustbins, I approached to steal a shot, but he nearly attacked me. Since then, I have seen the bad reputation she has.
Nice shot!
