I spent nearly 6 hours on thin, hard train seats last Saturday but just 20 minutes sat back on a plush leather armchair (like the one opposite, here) with a roaring fire and gorgeous 18th century Inn warm atmosphere.
I had to lower my position to get the light reflected in the black coffee, yet mask a street lamp outside... But, ever on the lookout for photos, I wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste - and afterall, everybody these days snaps their food and drink for Facebook, don't they...
Exposure is in effect 4 stops lower (underexposed) than if I'd shot on auto. |
