ISO 100, tripod. Specie: Melanargia galathea

61 stacked natural light exposures at ISO 100 of a Melanargia galathea butterfly, Nymphalidae family. This is the only time this season when stacking did not bring great benefits. The resolution is not quite there and probably the lens (Schneider Kreuznach APO Componon HM 90/4.5) used on that situation was outside the recommended magnification range (around 0.5X for this one, I think). A single exposure at around f10 with a longer focal length lens like Canon/Nikon/Sigma/Tamron 180-200 mm macro lens would have given a similar result. Phototgraphed on 15.06.2012. Equipment used: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, reversed Schneider-Kreuznach APO-Componon HM 90/4.5 on Nikon PB-6 bellows.

Good composition, good detail, stoop only lights that in some cases seem to the limit.
Congratulations, hello.
