Risaia vercellese. Si vede da lontano quando un trattore munito di braccio e fresa si mette a pulire i fossi. Un carosello di aironi, garzette e ibis, a digiuno da una una notte sotto allo zero, fanno a gara a tuffarsi sulla terra appena smossa dove affiorano rane, vermi e radici. In questa confusione è facile avvicinarsi e fare scatti al volo altrimenti impossibili.
