This is my favorite ... I like this tree-lined avenue with snow on the trees and the edge of the dirt road.

Most beautiful! Perhaps a figure or object on the road might have made it better but I know that you can wait in the cold for such and nothing appears!

Certain that a human figure would make the most of the picture ... but looking at the path I know that was not possible ;-)

Thanks folks. Hi Tim, a figure would have been ideal but it is rare to see anyone on foot. They are usually in 4x4 vehicles and I would sooner not have a 4x4 in the shot. That location is about the middle of a 5 mile round trip on foot and it was cold. I have walked the route quite a few times and never seen a soul.

I, like you, enjoy such walks, but hate 4x4's and vehicles as a whole disturbing my peace and serenity. But in England you would probably get a dog walker, which is why sp many of my landscapes include such.

I see that are UK based. Can I ask which part? I need to delete someone else to add you as a 'friend', I shall have to see who I can cull!

I have never ever seen anyone walking the dog along that bit of track. The nearest houses are probably a couple of miles away.

Sorry about that, the cooker was calling. I live in Nottinghamshire. Whereabouts are you Tim, I wouldn't delete anybody that you have just to insert me into your list. After all you have probably had your list of friends some while.

This, too, is a lovely snowy scene, inviting me to wander down that road!

Ann :))
