Nell'inverno del 2012 alcune zone della laguna ghiacciarono. Ma l'unico inverno che portò veramente alla completa ghiacciazione della laguna veneziana risale al 1929. Pensate che era possibile arrivare alle isole più vicine come Murano, Isola di San Michele (dove c'è il Cimitero) a piedi.
