I giovani e gli adulti si nutrono della linfa delle foglie e dei germogli causandone il deperimento; possono, inoltre, attaccare anche le silique compromettendone i semi. Le giovani piante colpite, oltre a rallentare lo sviluppo, possono anche avvizzire e necrotizzare. Ciclo biologico Il ciclo biologico dell'Eurydema ventrale è analogo a quel?lo di altre due Cimici congeneri (Eurydema ornatum L. ed Eurydema oleraceum L.) che attaccano il Cavolfiore, la Rapa, il Ravizzone, la Colza sempre con gli stessi danni. L'Eurydema ventrale sverna come adulto in vari rifugi. In primavera, fine marzo-aprile, esce dai ripari ed inizia la sua attività trofica; dopo circa un mese questi adulti si accoppiano e le femmine depongono le uova, in gruppetti, sulla pagina inferiore delle foglie. I nuovi adulti (1a generazione) compaiono verso il mese di giugno e ripetono il ciclo che si conclude in agosto con la comparsa degli adulti di 2a generazione; questi adulti sverneranno.
