Phyteuma orbiculare L. - buttercup orbicularis. sent on December 28, 2016 (18:13) by Massimo Schiavi. 50 comments, 1230 views. [retina]

, 1/200 f/13.0, ISO 400, hand held.

Many thanks Peter for your nice comment!
The buttercup has spread across the Alpine area and high-Alpine foothills and is common enough that it is not even a protected species.
Greetings and best wishes, to you and to your loved ones for a good New Year!

George, I'm really gratified for your comment and thank you very much!
Phyteuma is a typical alpine flower and, therefore, in your part You will not.
It 'a fairly common flower and simple, but it is very nice!
I wish you and your loved ones a happy new year and I send you a warm greeting!

It 'a very popular flower, almost shared I dare say, in the whole southern part of the Alps and in the medium-high zone of the Alps. Elsewhere I do not think has its habitat.
Thank you so much, Mauro, for the welcome comments!
Happy new year greetings to you and to your loved ones!
