, 1/640 f/6.3, ISO 1250, hand held. S.I.C. Tivoli Manzolino, Italy.

Natale 2016, invece di star seduto a ingozzarmi di cibo decido di far un giro in oasi..eravamo praticamente solo io e lei! Finalmente riesco a veder un martin pescatore e a fotografarlo..è il primo! Consigli e critiche ben accette! grazie

ITA, very nice ambiance.
Tips on using the 150-600, the Sigma returns the best results by stopping down to f8 .... to F6.3 images are soft .... compliments for the first martina.

Thank you so much Luigi, especially for the tip! I was afraid to raise too the ISO, already so with 7d there is much grain :(

It 's true but the noise you can handle in post production instead for a softer picture you can do almost anything.
A high ISO shooting in overexposure (without burning the white), then in post overs exposure to the correct values ??... the noise will be less invasive.

Good blurred, the resume point, and colors. By martina in a bit more to the right the composition could be more balanced. Setting a single point af and af-continuous and choosing the guanciotta the subject as maf point you could emphasize the most important area of ??the model. The maf, in fact, is slightly earlier on the back.
Closing at f.7,1 they would earn a few millimeters of pdc.
Free hand in "hanged" situations consider the use of a monopod (manfrotto / Benro) + Shift & tilt head (SIRUI / genesis) leaving the active stabilizer ;-)
