Il Monte Piana fu terreno di battaglia durante la Grande Guerra tra il 1915 e il 1917. Vi furono circa 14.000 caduti tra Italiani e Austro-Ungarici. Oggi è Museo all'aperto dove si possono ancora percorrere le trincee al cospetto delle piu' belle Vette Dolomitiche. Nella foto le Tre cime di Lavaredo
