at 400mm, 1/1000 f/8.0, ISO 320, hand held.

AS close as it is possible to get across the Solent (channel up to Southampton Docks), with 400mm lens (equivalent to 600mm in FX terms). A strange name for an oil tanker, though!

A beautiful and most striking image, Tim! As you say, an unusual choice of name but then I guess it's one that gives a positive impression.

Thank you Ann - I've wanted to get a decent close up for a long time and posted partly as I wanted to show Des and others - there is a beauty in such ugliness, especially if you like this sort of thing, which I guess, stereotyping with-holding may well appeal to the male of the human species more. The sidelighting and red hull certainly to this one though. And all this just two kms from the lovely boats at sunrise!

Bruno, thanks also! Cheers!

Jean, thanks also my friend.
