Penso che i passaggi siano giusti almeno seguendo un tutorial visto tempo fa, questo è il lavoro che ho svolto.

Il vero HDR si ottiene con macchina fotografica in posizione stabile (quindi terraferma) montata su cavalletto e con immagini NON in movimento, per fare ciò molte macchine sono dotate della funzione bracketing, questa funzione + l'autoscatto, genera automaticamente tre scatti con tre diverse esposizioni, che vanno poi sovrapposte con apposito programma, il risultato è una maggiore profondità ed un effetto di rilievo delle immagini, cioè più simile a quello che percepiscono i nostri occhi.
