La principale attrazione della Cava Lazzaro è la cosiddetta "Tomba del Principe" chiamata anche "Tomba Orsi" in onore dell'archeologo Paolo Orsi che la studiò dettagliatamente. Si tratta di una delle tombe neolitico - sicule di tipo castellucciano tra le più importanti della Sicilia intera (se non addirittura la più importante). Essa è situata nel tratto occidentale della Cava Lazzaro sotto la Contrada Pernicella nel versante meridionale della cavità iblea (di fronte alla Cava Ruta). Si tratta di un sepolcro scavato nella roccia con entrata quadrangolare incassato in una nicchia solcata da una serie di finti pilastri calcati nella pietra. All'interno vi sono le rovine dei loculi sepolcrali e di un sepolcro molto più grande, ritenuto dell'autorità principale di questi antichi villaggi di epoca neolitico - sicula (non a caso viene chiamata "Tomba del Princip&'). Presso le altre tombe della Cava sono state rinvenute anche numerose schegge ossee e protuberanze sferiche sempre in osso, molto probabilmente arnesi preistorici che oggigiorno sono esposti nel Museo Civico di Modica, nel Museo Paolo Orsi di Siracusa e nel Museo Pigorini di Roma.
