Una passeggiata nel cuore di Torino permette di entrare nei cortili dei più bei palazzi della città. Scoprire il cuore della Torino barocca riflettendo sull'attualità. Questo offre a turisti e cittadini la seconda edizione di «Arte alle corti», una mostra che sino al 10 novembre si potrà ammirare liberamente in 9 corti e 2 giardini di palazzi storici, trasformati per l'occasione in musei a cielo aperto con opere di 23 artisti. Il Palazzo Asinari di San Marzano venne progettato dall'architetto Michelangelo Garove su richiesta del marchese Ottavio Asinari di San Marzano nel 1684 su un terreno cedutogli da Madama Reale. Caratterizzato da un atrio fra i più noti e riprodotti di Torino, ornato da colonne tortili, stucchi, statue e forme che ricordano il lavoro di Guarino Guarini, di cui il Garove è stato discepolo, l'edificio possiede appartamenti decorati a metà Settecento su disegno di Benedetto Alfieri e Francesco Martinez. Il giardino, arricchito originariamente da piante esotiche molto rare, è stato sostituito nel 1883, per esigenze di sviluppo urbano, da un fondale neobarocco disegnato da Camillo Boggio. L'edificio, passato di proprietà prima ai Ceriana, poi ai Casana e infine acquistato dal Cavaliere del Lavoro Silvio Turati nel 1946, è stato sede della società Carpano, produttrice del famoso vermouth "Punt e Mes". Giulio Franco Turati e i suoi nipoti sono tutt'ora proprietari del palazzo.
