Credo questo sia il migliore scatto che abbia prodotto fino ad oggi. Forse non sarà stato il top per tecnica ma senz'altro per capacità evocativa. Il clochard accovacciato all'inizio del Millenium Bridge, dal punto di vista compositivo è stata una manna, mentre i 4 passanti quasi allineati li ritengo un colpo di fortuna frutto della pazienza che ho portato attendendo il momento giusto. Amo la dinamicità della scena, che contrasta con la staticità del clochard e della cattedrale (come a dire che purtroppo ci sono cose e destini che non cambiano mai). Mi piace che il barbone sia quasi affogato nella frenesia delle persone, che si perda nell'indifferenza di quelle stesse che qualche minuto prima, probabilmente, hanno visitato ammaliati quella chiesa. Inoltre, uno dei due ragazzi sulla destra pare sforzarsi di non guardare lo sfortunato clochard, mentre l'altro sembra allungare il passo, quasi infastidito dall'anomala presenza. Sulla sinistra, invece, una donna che gli posa lo sguardo velocemente, uno sguardo di difficile interpretazione. La bellezza di questo scatto sta nell'aver raccolto, in un singolo istante, le diverse reazioni della gente a quella scena... Oltre ovviamente al forte contrasto tra il povero barbone e l'imponente chiesa di St Paul; tanto bella quanto lontana, e non solo fisicamente, dalle difficoltà dei più deboli...
