Loropetalum nella modesta fioritura autunnale. Arbusto per aiuola dal particolare fogliame rosso porpora, usato per macchie di colore, aiuole e fioriere. La nuova vegetazione, in primavera, è di un bel rosso porpora. Durante il resto dell'anno le foglie assumono un colore rosso tendente al verde. La fioritura, a fine primavera, è di un bel rosa fucsia, che contrasta con il colore del fogliame.
