La casetta (anni '50) è un igrometro a corda di minugia (sottile budello ovino) ritorta. Contraendosi o allungandosi con il variare dell' umidità faceva uscire sul balcone o l'omino o la donnina a segnalare bel tempo o possibile pioggia. Era quindi impropriamente usato come barometro con scarsissima attendibilità ! Gli interni della baita (pavimento, trave del soffitto,mobili) sono costruiti secondo un punto centrale di prospettiva, a dimostrazione della cura utilizzata in quegli anni anche per oggetti di piccolo artigianato come i souvenirs.
