We see in this shot I imagine that the subject is the tree.

Il problema è che, con questa conversione in BN, non sei riuscito, secondo me, a dare risalto all'albero in modo da diventare il soggetto principale.
La parte destra è troppo chiara e la parte sinistra è tagliata (di poco, ma lo è).
Penso che giocando con il BN riusciresti a dare più risalto al soggetto.

Normalmente nei miei paesaggi più che un preciso soggetto io rincorro la luce...
E' sempre la luce che comanda e che ha il compito di mettere in evidenza ciò che voglio mostrare.
Anche questa conversione funziona così... è la luce la protagonista che illumina parte dell'albero e parte della riva
determinando un preciso percorso di lettura e una certa tridimensionalità senza ricorrere a grandi differenze
tra ombre e luci e questo grazie all'uso di una vasta gamma di grigi.
Ho convertito andando oltre quello che è la semplice manipolazione dei colori del b/n rivolta ad ottenere semplici zone chiare e zone scure di grigi pedissequamente corrispondenti ai colori originali, non è quello che mi interessava e quello che volevo ottenere...
Questa conversione non è una foto al''albero inteso come soggetto, ma ad una atmosfera...
Un cosa... mi spieghi in base a quali elementi e rispetto a cosa dici che la parte sinistra è tagliata...
