Ricordati una regola fondamentale nei ritratti a persone o animali: riprendere allo stesso punto di ripresa loro (ad altezza dei loro occhi) per evitare la posizione dominante di schiacciamento e per dargli dignità. Il flash doveva essere ammorbidito e dovevi sfruttare l'opzione "No occhi rossi" dove il lampo si sviluppa in 2 step. Per ammorbidire la luce del flash usavi le apposite cuffie o il vecchio trucco del fazzoletto.
