My D7100 may be weather sealed and can survive a brief storm - BUT I am NOT!
I chose the D7100 significantly for its weather sealing - and here, this wonderful beach where I spent so many wondrous warm and sunny hours back in the summer literally went biblical on the first day of Autumn.
This storm was not even forecast, so I had no coat. There was no shelter at all, either - I had to either brave it or brave it try and take pictures! I had even taken off my trainers and socks so I could walk about in the water and put them in my rucksack, so at at least they could remain dry. Half an hour later, it was all blue skies and warmth again!
Difficult shooting conditions that certainly ruled out graduated grey filters etc, so a big pain editing too. |

Ann - sadly, you cannot see Old Harry Rocks in the distance, which was in the original, but I could pump a lot more contrast in the foreground, so I concentrated on that. I'm still not happy with end result but it'll have to do. This was last Thursday. |
