Questa vista della catena delle Grandes Murailles dal lato della Valpelline ho voluto immaginarla da subito in bianco e nero, pensando a quello che devono aver visto i primi salitori della Dent d'Herens nel lontano 1857 (data della prima salita della montagna). Mi piacevano molto i giochi di luce e ombra dati dalle nuvole sul ghiacciaio e credo che che il BN sia più indicato per enfatizzare questi contrasti. Che ne dite? #Montagna, #Alpinismo

Ciao Francesco, sono contento che ti piaccia. Ho dovuto recuperare un pò il file perchè leggermente sottoesposto ma devo dire che col bianco e nero si riesce a rendere bene la differenza di luminosità delle zone di ghiacciaio coperte da nuvole con quelle al sole. Quaando l'ho scattata l'ho da subito immaginata in BN, a colori non avrebbe reso altrettanto. Grazie ancora e buona serata! ;-)

I had to recover some files because the slightly underexposed but I must say that with black and white you can not make good the difference in brightness of the areas of glacier covered by clouds with the sun. Bellissima composizione...e bellissimo b/n. Spetacolari quei blocchi di neve caduti e in diesquilibrio sulla sinistra...danno una forte spinta alla drammaticità della foto, che già di suo è molto drammatica...bella bella!!!

Bellissimo questo bianco e nero!! Sono d'accordo con te che le foto di questi ambienti in quota, in cui le dominanti di colore sono spesso fastidiose, danno il loro meglio in B&N dove meglio si riesce a accentuarne i contrasti! Mi piace molto anche la composizione che hai scelto..mi sembra ben eqilibrata! Sorriso

E complimenti anche per i circa 1500 metri di dislivello (se non sbaglio) che ti sei dovuto "sorbire"!!

I agree with you that the pictures of these environments at high altitude, where the dominant colors are usually annoying, are at their best in B & N where you can better accentuate the contrasts! I also really like the composition you have chosen .. seems well eqilibrata! :-) And congratulations to about 1500 meters in altitude (if not mistaken) that you have to "put up with"!
ps: you tell him to Floyd that "snow blocks" are actually ice walls in buildings of similar size?!? :-D:-D

Non sbagli sui 1500 m di dislivello....il problema sono i 18 km all'andata e da fare anche al ritorno....un massacro allucinante ma l'ambiente ripaga di tutto, di sicuro è la gita più bella che abbia mai fatto! Questa purtroppo è una delle poche foto che ho fatto perchè la reflex è veramente troppo per gite così impegnative.....percui le sono affezionato e ho voluto valorizzarla. Il Bn mi piace molto! A presto! ;-)

P.S. sì, quei seracchi saranno alti almeno 20-30 metri, impressionante!!! MrGreen

You're not wrong about 1500 m in altitude .... the problem is the 18 km leg and do on the way back .... a shocking massacre but the atmosphere makes up for everything, it sure is a trip best I've ever made! This unfortunately is one of the few photos I took because the camera is too much for such challenging trips ..... percu are fond of and I wanted to enhance it. The Bn I really like! See you soon! ;-)

PS yes, those seracs will be at least 20-30 feet tall, impressive! :-D
