È in una magnifica insenatura che si trova Villefranche-sur-Mer, grazioso borgo colorato con un incantevole porto di pescatori. La zona offre una bellissima vista sulla penisola di Cap Ferrat, il cuore della riviera francese. Questa splendida penisola ospita anche uno dei più bei palazzi della Costa Azzurra, Villa Ephrussi di Rothschild, a Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, palazzo in stile italiano che è possibile visitare. Nei giorni di sole, il centro storico di Villefranche-sur-Mer, dalle stradine strette e colorate, richiama molti visitatori e si anima grazie a ristoranti e caffè all'aperto che propongono specialità locali. La cappella di San Pietro, vicino al porto, è stata decorata da Jean Cocteau nel 1957. La cittadella, costruita nel XVI secolo a difesa dell'insenatura, ospita musei e mostre.
