The lagoon of Balos one of the pearls of Crete. ( 35°35'3.14"N 23°35'35.52"E ) E.N.S.

Thanks Eraldo and Massimo, the photo makes 1/100 of the spectacle of the place, I am sure that if you happen to go there agree with me.

A compositional level is not bad and big mistakes do not see, the only problem here is the light.
For a pure panorama shot, light is everything. Here, judging from the shadows, they were in the central zone of the day and is also seen by the strong light that dominates the scene. Such a high light and strong expands the contrast (therefore often resorts to conversion in the NL), but destroys the colors. Then rightly you to come saturate PP and create all the noise in the sky, impossible to ISO 100.
The central horizon makes always a certain monotony, I think it is what your intent. The views you tend to raise or lower than the center, to highlight the top or the bottom of the picture.
Other things do not come to mind for now.
Marco.

Well, you've already made two important observations, in fact the picture was taken in late morning light and I had even too much, in post for groped to dominate but lose 'the dynamism of the moment and introduce too much noise, and here lies the problem that I'll try a solution.
The second comment on the horizon cut I must say that I had come to mind, but valuing it well I have to admit that you're right, the weekend that I'll have time I will try to put into practice what I suggest.
Thanks for the comment and for the advice

Look, the horizon is one of the basic things they teach in the core courses.
A tip: take a basic composition book (one or the other) or search for some notes on any site, an online basic course, there are plenty of them, even for free.
Writing on Google "basic photography course" and try to follow some advice, they always return profits.

Nice picture ;-)
PS I do not think that there is too much noise in the sky :-)

What to say ... it seems to me a beautiful picture. Noise in the sky I do not see it, but it seems to me a bit "covered up" and the round island in the foreground for me is good where you put it ... the rules of composition books laws, assimilates and then Do as you want and experience .... if not, the pictures would all be the same. (Personal opinion without controversy :-))

Mha .. Lorenzo who say ... certainly Marco has made a pertinent observation regarding the rules of composition, I must also say that of that day I have a few dozen shots and on all this is what I still like to more ' And I proposed, then you know I mentally ment the time and I have to tell you that the thing I wanted at the moment was to get off and throw me into the water, the rest went to the background ;-) ;-)
Thanks for the comment
A greeting
Silvano
