Carezza al lago (BZ) - "Tanto tanto tempo fa, in un lago in mezzo alle Dolomiti viveva una bellissima Ondina delle acque. L'Ondina spesso usciva dal lago, si sedeva su uno scoglio presso le rive e cominciava a cantare. Il suo canto era così melodioso che i viandanti che attraversavano la foresta e transitavano presso il lago in direzione del Passo di Costalunga rimanevano incantati. E quando riprendevano il cammino, lo facevano sospirando di nostalgia per quel canto inimitabile. L'Ondina non doveva assolutamente calcare le rive del lago altrimenti non avrebbe mai più potuto tornarsene alla propria dimora incantata nelle profondità delle acque. Ma un giorno, attirato dal suo canto, giunse presso il lago anche lo Stregone di Masaré, che viveva sulle pendici del Rosengarten. Lo stregone vide l'Ondina sullo scoglio tra le acque e subito si innamorò perdutamente di lei. Lo Stregone tentò in tutti i modi, anche usando le proprie arti magiche, di conquistare l'Ondina ma senza alcun esito. Decise allora di chiedere aiuto alla malvagia strega Langwerda che abitava dalle parti dello Sciliar, la quale gli consigliò di travestirsi da venditore di gioielli e pietre e passeggiare sulle rive del lago per conquistare con le proprie lucenti mercanzie l'Ondina. Ma questa, pur incuriositasi dallo scintillio di gioielli, rimase nelle acque del lago. Lo Stregone non si diede per vinto e ritornò dalla Strega, la quale come secondo suggerimento gli consigliò di utilizzare i gioielli e le pietre preziose per fabbricare un bellissimo arcobaleno da stendere tra il Rosengarten ed il Latemar. In questo modo l'Ondina, per vedere meglio lo spettacolo, sarebbe emersa dal lago e lo Stregone avrebbe potuto prenderla per portarla con sé. Lo Stregone del Masarè si mise subito la lavoro, diede il meglio di se e riuscì a realizzare il più bell'arcobaleno mai visto sino ad allora tra le Dolomiti. Immediatamente lo stese tra il Rosengarten ed il Latemar e attraversando la foresta si recò al lago. Ma, preso anche lui dallo splendido spettacolo dell'arcobaleno, si dimenticò di adottare un travestimento. Effettivamente l'Ondina emerse dalle acque e rimase incantata davanti all'arcobaleno formato da ori, gioielli e pietre preziose delle montagne. Cominciò ad avvicinarsi alle rive, colta da una sorta di favoloso incantesimo ma, proprio quando stava per mettere piede sulla terraferma, si accorse dello Stregone e lo riconobbe immediatamente. Rendendosi conto che era stata ad un passo dal perdersi per sempre, l'Ondina si rituffò nelle profondità del lago. E da quel giorno non fu mai più vista o sentita da alcuno. Il suo melodioso canto non risuonò mai più tra le rive, tra gli alti abeti ed i larici e le aguzze montagne. Lo stregone, distrutto dalle pene d'amore, strappò con rabbia il bellissimo arcobaleno dal cielo, lo ridusse in mille pezzi e lo gettò nel lago. Il lago era quello di Carezza ed ancora oggi, se passate da quelle parti, potrete vedere stupendi colori riflettersi tra le sue onde.
