L'acquedotto Vanvitelli - Valle di Maddaloni (Caserta) - Italy I lavori dell'acquedotto, progettato da Luigi Vanvitelli su commissione di re Carlo di Borbone (da cui l'appellativo di Carolino), presero il via nel marzo del 1753. L'opera compiuta fu inaugurata il 7 maggio 1762.
