Rocciamelone

360 ° Panorama sent on July 23, 2012 (20:38) by Daniele Fra. 26 comments, 1901 views. [retina]

at 24mm, 1/250 f/14.0, ISO 200, hand held. Rocciamelone, Italy.

How a photo becomes disclosure document really appreciable.
My appreciation for the hard work and useful descriptions of the peaks.
The stitching is not perfect :-( but it takes a very trained eye to notice ....

I want to emphasize the good work of Fradaniele receiving my complimente to the completion of atypical pano girarndo around who wanted to take.
There are errors sewing small, but the most obvious is the roof of the church and the cross "suspended" the result of a non-point stitching from the sw.
In the tradition with which I have always participated in the discussions at the forum, and mine is obviously meant to be a criticism, but constructive to work with pleasure that I see in this forum.

The imperfect seam at the bottom of the pan was not able to correct it in any way. My intention was to focus on the main subject or the mountains and list them in the correct way. The roof of the chapel with the cross at the tip was just a few feet from me, and employed about 180 ° panorama, taking into account that I have moved around obstacles that prevented me from the view for about 10 meters, even the roof was photographed with different perspectives while the mountains that are miles away had no problems sewing. The defect is, however, very clear in the press that I made on rigid PVC up to 150 cm long. I ask advice for a future new view without these defects, it will be better to devote a series of shots only to persons close to the background and then join them at a later time?

I worked with the Raw Camera Raw and Photoshop CS5 and saved all in Tiff, I then joined the shots with Photomerge, and tried all the options available to me and that gave me the best solution is "Replace".
I then trimmed the final photo with the cutter and saved in a single file in Tiff ready for the wording.

I figured ... :-( PS Photomerge has made great strides from the first editions, but to handle images of this type would require a specific stitching software. I use PTGui, (you can also use Hugin is free, but less powerful) and in these cases it would be necessary to modify one or more joints in the editor, and you're done with a total benefecio for overall image quality. Whoever follows me on the forum knows benessimo the advice I've always given about these techniques.

Impressive overview! I always wanted to get on Rocciamelone ... and this time I do! :-)

The only thing out of place ... you name it "Maritime Alps" (which points to our Bric Mindino / Antoroto) ... those are our Ligurian Alps! ^ _ ^

hello

Thanks Mark for the advice, these software will not know them and try to use them for the next views. Unfortunately I no longer have the original files to redo the overview of Rocciamelone and I will be obliged to return hoping for a cloudless day (rare).
Thanks also to Paul for correcting me, the peaks in the distance were really tiny and difficult to identify.
Thank you for the advice and continue with the criticism, are all valuable to improve :-)

Great job, in my opinion, with particular note on the inclusion of all references to the tops / visible places! :-)
Now, if I go back, I know much more about the beautiful view offered by Rocciamelone! :-D

This time I found a beautiful day and since I wanted to try to do something different I made the view that they enjoyed the Rifugio Cà d'Asti so I did print one hard in forex of 150 cm to the side and hung me where you eat.
