Street photography, in my opinion, should show not only the person/people but also something about their environment, so I really liked the spontaneity and scene here in South London's Brixton, yesterday afternoon.
A mostly Jamaican community that has seen many troubles and conflicts, including the last large scale riots in the UK. I almost exclusively encountered a wonderfully colourful, vibrant and accepting experience and got myself many wonderful photos, this being the first that I'm posting.
Nice levels of sharpness too (I reduced overall contrast a little though) from the Sigma Contemporary, in its first big test 'out in the field'. |
