Il Monte Piana, oggi museo storico all'aperto, è stato teatro durante la "grande guerra" di una terribile battaglia, durata due anni, tra italiani ed austriaci che costò la vita a 14.000 uomini, per lo più ragazzi.

Monte Piana e'', a mio parere un luogo imprescindibile! Storicamente emozionante e commovente al pensiero di quanti ragazzi vi hanno lottato e perso la vita in nome dell'ennesima inutile guerra. Ma anche paesaggisticamente e' un luogo magico. Da li' puoi osservare le Tre cime di Lavaredo, la Croda rossa, il monte Cristallo, insomma tra le più belle cime dolomitiche!
