Another lens I'm now having to sell, up on Ebay, now. The widest fixed focal length available (that's not a fisheye) but this full frame lens is only a little wider than my DX Nikkor 10-24mm at its widest. Taken back in 2011 and where I am returning to tomorrow. |

No, the old full frame camera is pretty well unusable now and one of the points of the exercise is to use the new camera. Once I clean up a lens to sell, take photos of it, it stays safe and secure - not saying that I'd drop it or it would get stolen but once it's on sale, then it's someone else's.
Between you and me, I do hope to get enough to go towards the only lens wider (a zoom, and for me, on DX), which I've said before is kind of on my wish list, the Sigma 8-16mm. 14mm in FX is equivalent to 9mm in DX, so this zoom is just a bit wider.
You can't attach filters, it's slow and like this 14mm, has a huge bulbuous front element (the FX eqv is the 12-24mm). Juza used an 8-16mm a lot, saying it was the best ultrawide zoom for DX. It won't replace the 10-24mm which is so much easier to use and can take filters but being known as the ultrawide freak that I am, it is inevitable that I get one, one day. And it is (apparently) my birthday next week, but will obviously have to pay for it all myself! |
