A beautiful day last week.
Unlike my first climb to Biella by Ra Stua (olter twenty years ago) for even downhill cursed muilattiera (pestiferous), this time I got there the Sennes refuge and indeed descended from there.
Another time, many years ago, I reached the Biella also from Lake Braies: 2 hours and three quarters (officially marked needed three hours and a half) of pure hard work, but in a very intriguing context, always uphill; I recommend it to anyone visiting the lake and do not want to limit its simple contour walk.
Thanks for the comments ;-)

Beautiful shot and wonderful place. I never climbed the Sennes but remember the climb to Biella from Ra Stua as one of the most beautiful hiking in the Dolomites, through the incomparable salad valley and with a view of the "marmots parliament" (at least so we called it). Hello. Marco

Thank you Marco pass.
Yes, the ascent you say is the one I dropped this time, after many years that I climbed it too.
It will be that the "stairs" are very high, but me and my two coarse young racing companions came to Ra Stua with cross-legged knee ligaments :-)

A wonderful landscape composition, amazing pdr and incredible the size and breadth of this plateau as it is a photo made with a 50mm, good and congratulations

Thank you, you are very kind ;-)
On the 50 the choice was dictated by being compact and light, to bring the SLR with me without making me hernias :-)
On the plateau, yes, it is true, vast and very wild, probably due to the fact that it is reached by working hard on one side or the other as its access routes; certainly much more difficult to reach than the easy driveway that leads to Lake Braies, on the opposite side (behind the ideal background of the frame).
See you next time ;-)
