, 1/2500 f/8.0, ISO 250, hand held. Swanage and Durlston Country Park, United Kingdom.

The 40 tonne, 3 metre across Purbeck stone globe at Durlston Head, on the Purbeck Peninsular is one of the largest stone spheres in the world. The first outing for my Samyang fisheye lens back in September 2014 and I was grappling to get used to it, shooting into the sun and trying to exclude both my shadow and other people - who naturally had, like me, come to visit this landmark. #Fisheye #BlackAndWhite

I love your shooting position for this, Tim! Not the easiest subject to present in an interesting way (as it is quite impressive in real life but rarely appears so in photos) but you have certainly succeeded!

I love all the curves going in different directions and, of course, the starburst! :)

Thank you Ann! I thought that you had gone to bed!

We had 'talked' about this place and tomorrow I'm making a concerted effort to get right down to Swanage, whether or not revisit and re-take (I had quite a few duds with fisheye that day, mostly over-exposure) the Durlston ones but as you know always plenty to photograph and see around those parts.

No - just gone for a shower. A long and hot day today. Bed very soon....

That will be a full on day for you then! I know you'll come back with something good! :))

Oh yes, that is guaranteed! Goodnight and have a productive Friday (whether 'in' Europe, or not!)
