Ha abitudini alimentari più simili a quelle degli avvoltoi e mangia la carne delle carogne e anche le ossa. Tutte queste notizie le ho prese dal Dierschke.
Non so dirti se il soggetto fotografato sia nato in cattività, ma so che a Sant'Alessio fanno anche allevamento di molte specie di uccelli per poi reintrodurli in natura , dunque, suppongo e spero che presto possa raggiungere le alte vette !
