E' una specie erbacea perenne nelle parti Nel Delta del Po le zone più estese di canneti si possono trovare alla foce del Po di Pila, del Po di Gnocca e del Po di Goro. Nelle foci dei nostri fiumi è molto importante il ruolo di canneti che da sempre compiono il primo passo per la creazione di nuove terre emerse, poichè contribuiscono a fermare i sedimenti trasportati dai fiumi, rallentando la velocità dell'acqua e favorendo il deposito dei detriti alla base dei loro fusti, mentre, durante le mareggiate ,smorzano la violenza delle onde. ----Tutte le foto contenute in queste gallerie sono copyright Mario Griso e non possono essere utilizzate in alcuna forma senza il consenso dell'autore.
