Questa immagine ritrae le 4 stelle all'interno della famosa Nebulosa di Orione M42. L'immagine è stata ottenuta con una webcam (Philips Vesta Pro) montata su telescopio Meade 2120 con proiezione di oculare da 20 mm. Il filmato originale di circa 20 secondi è stato rielaborato con Registax. La tecnica sopra descritta, più adatta per la ripresa di pianeti del sistema solare, andava di moda qualche anno fa e veniva utilizzata al posto delle più performanti camere CCD. Questo quartetto di stelle, molto vicine tra loro e visibili chiaramente con una osservazione visuale della nebulosa di Orione, in fotografia non sono mai visibili a causa della luminosità di M42 e del largo campo necessario per riprenderla. Il gruppo di astri è il maggior responsabile dell'eccitazione dei gas di M42 e della sua luminosità.
