Thank you Ann, taken also yesterday - you should recognise where! |
| sent on May 25, 2016 (17:49)
I'm sure I should but I can't think where there are rocks in the water! Near the Haven? Or maybe in the harbour.... |

I have photographed them before, looking the other way. Yes, Shell Bay, on the corner. I took a few, only edited this one so far, beach was absolutely empty so felt very free to snap away, all the way up to Studland. So, expect one or two more. Much colder and cloudier today but better again tomorrow. When are you back? |

That must have been lovely to have the beach to yourself! I fly back to England tomorrow and return home the following day. |

It wasn't as warm as it looks - chilly breeze. It was first bus down, changed buses at Lansdowne for the first Purbeck bus of the day (where the Jacques Tati image was taken, halfway up to rail station), then here at just after 9 a.m and then the group candid was taken waiting for Salisbury bus home - so two good results just waiting for connecting buses! Safe flight home, Ann. Looking forward to more communication than of late! Salisbury International Arts Festival starts Friday for three weeks - and I've a new (to me) camera to use it on! |

Thanks, Tim! Life will soon go back to normal for me - for a couple of weeks, anyway! The Salisbury International Arts Festival sounds very grand - plenty of photo opportunities! |

Photo opps are scarce unfortunately as almost all events are ticketed and expensive, but there are a few freebies, the opening night and a few street events too. Theme this year is Maori culture. |

I've just registered that you have a new camera - I'm so pleased! |

I've had it and used it (33 images so far on Juza) since the 13th Ann. |

Ah - I thought you meant that you had exchanged it ..... |
| sent on May 26, 2016 (6:29)
Not sure that I understand - the exchange on offer for a slightly less used but same condition same model was just too much hassle and I just wanted to take photographs. If I run this one into the ground like I did the previous camera, then the difference in its full lifespan would be minimal. I'm off on the choo-choo to Templecombe in a minute, perhaps later to Shaftesbury (via Gillingham). Lovely parts of the country, I think you'd agree! Been through Templecombe many times but never stopped off there. Sunny start but clouding over so need an easy to get to location to start the day off with. |

It was simply that the last I heard, you had been offered a camera with an even lower shutter count but I didn't know the outcome of that. I thought from your comment that you had decided to exchange it and so had a 'new' camera. As you say, the difference would have been insignificant. I love Shaftesbury but don't know Templecombe. Have a good day! |
