Non capiremo mai abbastanza quanto bene è capace di fare un sorriso [Madre Teresa di Calcutta] In un ritratto la cosa fondamentale, secondo me, è riuscire a valorizzare le caratteristiche principali del soggetto, che possono essere parti del viso, del corpo, o anche comportamenti, abitudini, passioni (come nel caso di un altro ritratto del portfolio, Laura). In questo caso il protagonista del ritratto è il sorriso di Anna. Il motivo è semplice: trovo che il suo sorriso sia splendido, perché riesce a trasmettere gioia e serenità, è un sorriso vero, sincero, genuino; inoltre Anna riesce a sorridere non solo con la bocca, ma anche con gli occhi, che, quando è felice e sorride, si illuminano e riescono a scaldare i cuori delle persone a lei vicine. Ho sempre pensato queste cose di lei, e quando ho avuto l'opportunità di farle un ritratto mi sono concentrato su queste sue caratteristiche, per valorizzarle nello scatto. Ho usato il Canon 50mm f/1.8 perché lo trovo adatto ai ritratti, per nitidezza, qualità dell'immagine e sfocato; l'ho usato ad f/1.8 perché, nonostante perda nitidezza a tutta apertura, si guadagna uno sfocato più accentuato e particolare, che conferisce un'atmosfera quasi magica. In questo caso occorre prestare attenzione alla messa a fuoco, vista la ridotta profondità di campo a tutta apertura, facendo in modo che i tratti fondamentali, come occhi e bocca, siano a fuoco. Infine la scelta del bianco e nero è stata dovuta al fatto che a colori non mi piaceva molto, mentre trovo che il bianco e nero valorizzi molto di più questa caratteristica. Complessivamente sono soddisfatto di questa fotografia, sono riuscito a fare il ritratto ad Anna come mi ero prefissato, e mi piace perché mi trasmette le stesse emozioni di quando la guardo mentre sorride ed è felice. #Sguardi
