Oltre alla fotografia naturalistica e paesaggistica, un genere che mi piace molto è quello della ritrattistica, perché trovo sia bello riuscire ad immortalare il volto di una persona e mi piace cercare di trasmettere, nei miei scatti, le emozioni e i sentimenti del soggetto, per far si che quello ritratto non sia semplicemente una faccia, ma sia un viso che racconta storie, sentimenti, sensazioni.
Il protagonista di questo scatto è mio nonno Piero. E' una fotografia fatta quasi per caso, eravamo in un ristorante per festeggiare il suo cinquantesimo anno di matrimonio con mia nonna Luciana e, finito il pranzo, ho preso la macchina fotografica per fare qualche scatto; avevo montato il 55-250 e, sebbene fosse lungo per la situazione, ho deciso di provare lo stesso ad utilizzarlo. Alla focale minima sono riuscito ad inquadrare a mezzo busto, ed è stato lì che ho avuto l'idea di fare qualcosa di diverso ed originale: ho messo a fuoco le mani al posto del viso. Ci tengo a precisarlo perché non è stata una scelta casuale, ma è stata voluta e pensata: lo sfocato sul viso non è eccessivo nonostante fossi ad f/4 (massima apertura del 55-250 alla focale minima), si riescono comunque a distinguere i lineamenti ed i tratti, ma l'attenzione cade ovviamente sulle mani. Mani rugose e segnate dal tempo e dal lavoro, mani che hanno lavorato, faticato, mani che hanno scritto o battuto i tasti di una vecchia macchina da scrivere, mani che tante volte ho stretto e che mi hanno accarezzato con la dolcezza che solo un nonno può avere. Ho tentato di racchiudere tutta la vita di mio nonno, tutta la sua passione per l'insegnamento, per l'archeologia, per la storia e per la natura in questo scatto, in queste mani segnate dal tempo che tanto hanno fatto e che tanto ancora possono fare. Spero che chi lo conosce un po' e conosce la sua vita possa apprezzare questa fotografia e riesca a sentire le emozioni che ho voluto trasmettere. #FuocoSelettivo

Questa è un'egregia prova. tuttavia il soggetto che tu hai scelto risulta incompleto. il fotogramma non arriva a coprire per intero le dita (per un pelo) ma è una stonatura. anche in alto, a mio avviso la compo è un pò strettina.
Altra critica (spero costruttiva) è la seguente: va molto bene la focheggiatura originale, ma "castrare" così un volto che guarda in camera e sorride è un vero peccato....
Diverso sarebbe il discorso se il soggetto con le mani fosse impegnato in qualcosa, o quantomeno avesse il volto distratto altrove.
