Ci sono fotografi paesaggisti come Michael Frye che in passato, prima ancora dell'avvento della computer grafica così come la conosciamo ed utilizziamo oggi, fotografando su pellicole invertibili a colori a volte tirate anche di qualche stop e con ore di esposizione, dipingendo il paesaggio (a volte pure molto ampio) meticolosamente con molti lampeggiatori elettronici e gelatine colorate, si sono creati uno stile di fotografia paesaggistica molto personale e particolare... e li computer e photoshop non centravano proprio niente...
