Immaturo di Astore, distinguibile dalla femmina di Sparviero per la colorazione delle parti inferiori fulvicce grossolanamente striate (non barrate) di bruno scuro, a differenza della femmina di Sparviero che ha parti inferiori biancastre finemente barrate di grigio. astóre s. m. [dal provenz. austor, che è il lat. acceptor -oris, alteraz. di accip?ter (inteso come der. di accip?re) e più tardi alterato in auceptor per influenza di avis «uccello» (cfr. auceps, per av?ceps, «uccellatore», e v. aucupio)].
