Questa volta voglio mostrarvi uno scatto fatto durante la mia visita alla Crystal Cave, una grotta di ghiaccio nel cuore del ghiacciaio Vatnajokull nell'est dell'Islanda; l'unico modo per arrivare in questo posto, a meno che non si sia attrezzati di monster truck o similari, è quello di affidarsi ad una delle agenzie che si propongono di accompagnartici con i loro super-suv e con tanto di guida. Purtroppo io mi sono rinvenuto tardi e l'unico tour disponibile era quello di tre ore in cui si visita una sola grotta, in genere la più vicina e famosa che quest'anno si dava il caso fosse proprio la Crystal Cave; volendo, se uno si sveglia un attimo prima, si possono prenotare anche tour più lunghi dove si visitano più grotte meno conosciute e soprattutto meno affollate. E' proprio di questo che voglio parlarvi: l'affollamento impressionante che c'è in questo posto. Fino a qualche anno fa era difficile trovare un altro tour all'interno della grotta, in quanto molte meno persone si interessavo a questo tipo di visite; ad oggi, quasi 15 agenzie locali si propongono di portarti in questa grotta di ghiaccio, e con una portata di circa 10 persone ad agenzia, a volte non è difficile trovarsi in 60 dentro questa grotta. Io per fortuna sono stato fortunato ed c'è stato un momento in cui addirittura eravamo solo noi (a sentire quel che dicevano le guide la loro agenzia programmava i tour ad orari alterni a tutte le altre in modo da non trovare la grotta affollata, non so se sia vero..) e dopo che tutti si erano fatti selfie, autoscatti e quant'altro ho potuto provare qualche scatto, anche perché la guida gentilissima mi ha detto che potevo rimanere un po' indietro rispetto al gruppo in modo da poter far foto senza persone nel mezzo. A chiunque voglia visitare questi posti, assolutamente fantastici, gli consiglio altamente di far il tour giornaliero più lungo o quello apposito per fotografi, in quanto si visitano posti in cui si è davvero sperduti nel nulla e il gruppo non supera mai le 4-5 persone. Ormai non si può più far il classico tour di 3 ore e sperare di godersi appieno ciò che il luogo ha da offrire purtroppo! Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com .
