Sala del Sorgere del Giorno già camera da letto della duchessa d'Aosta, o della primavera o salone grande Camera da letto di Maria Teresa d'Austria-Este Duchessa d'Aosta. Mi sono concentrato sul soffitto perché alle pareti mancano diversi elementi causa l'incendio del 1693, durante la guerra contro la Francia e alle vicissitudini più recenti causate da cambi di proprietà ed incuria umana. Stesso discorso varrà per lo scatto che posterò successivamente. La volta fu dipinta nel 1793 dai fratelli Rocco e Antonio Maria Torricelli, che qui hanno dato prova di tutta la loro bravura, nel decorare il padiglione centrale simulante un'apertura verso il cielo azzurro dove l'Aurora lascia dietro di sé la Notte rappresentata da un vecchio barbuto infreddolito, attorniato dai venti freddi e da un putto con una torcia in mano. Nella scena compare anche Lucifero, la stella del mattino e probabilmente Espero, la stella della sera.Le finte cariatidi a grisaille nella fascia d'imposta furono realizzate da Angelo Vacca.La decorazione lignea, laccata e dorata, è stata realizzata tra il 1793 e il 1794 dagli ebanisti Bozzelli, Gritella e Fumario, con gusto classicheggiante, tipico dell'epoca.
