La libelloides latinus, chiamata anche libelloides italicus (nome peró caduto in disuso) come la libelloides coccajus, ha 2 varianti di colore: puó essere sia gialla che bianca (il celeste è il prodotto del riflesso della luce sulle ali dell'insetto) e risolviamo così subito il problema del motivo dellla colorazione diversa dei soggetti che hai fotografato.
Una delle particolarità che mi fa propendere a dire che sia Libelloides Latinus è che questa puó essere bicolore, a differenza della Coccajus che è monocolore.
Mi spiego meglio: le specie di Ascalafidi presenti in Italia sono libelloides latinus, libelloides coccajus, libelloides longicornis, libelloides ictericus, libelloides lacteus e libelloides macaronius. escludendo subito le ultime tre per habitat e dimensioni, coccajus e longicornis sono monocolore per quanto riguarda la colorazione alare: o tutte bianche o tutte gialle.
quella in foto, e anche nell'altra che ho commentato in precedenza,ha una doppia colorazione: bianca con striature gialle, segno distintivo per riconoscere la Libelloides latinus e non confonderla con la libellodes coccajus.
Inoltre la Coccajus presenta macchie alari grandi che tendono a raggiungere le estremità posteriori delle ali, mentre la Latinus ha macchie più squadrate e piccole rispetto alla coccajus.
