at 400mm, 1/1250 f/7.1, ISO 800, tripod. Riserva Naturale Orientata della Vauda, Italy. Specie: Merops apiaster

Bravo, better to give up some quick rush rather than cause too much trouble to our winged friends. Study well how to make the best shots without disturbing them and you will see that whatever you do will leave us proud. Congratulations beautiful shot

Thanks to everyone and especially to my "cognonimo". Marco, respect for them is always the first thing: the passion for photography has come a long time after that for Nature in all its expressions. Woe to do damage just to complacency by one click a bit 'closer.

Thanks again to all of you and good evening.

I remain of the view that you want at all costs to photograph the bee in the vicinity of the nests causing harm to the reproduction of the same. Particularly animals such as bee-eaters so sought after by photographers.
Yesterday, near an oasis in the Cuneo area, in addition to photographers by car, some (other) self-proclaimed photographers had gone well beyond it were allowed, despite numerous signs Invited to not cross. They have placed car and cabanas.
This way you do seriously affects reproduction and disgraced all the photographers who love more nature than click "beautiful." Nothing personal, but unfortunately I find the right sottolinarlo.

Enrico I think like you. The shot above, in fact, is a mega crop made from absolute safety position and compared. A little 'privileged perhaps you: I have been for about eight years one of the administrators of the nature reserve that hosts them and so I know places unknown to amateurs (they are three weeks I go to observe them and the only specimens of Homo photographicus on the site and I were my partner of excursions). For the rest, I can only appreciate and share what you wrote.

Hello
Alexander
