Cuban hummingbirds ... sent on May 02, 2016 (20:29) by Mathiasv. 14 comments, 1409 views.

at 35mm, 1/640 f/1.8, ISO 100, hand held.

Chi mi aiuta a riconoscerlo? Dimensioni minuscole, è stato un miracolo prenderlo con il 35mm ma non si è mosso... geograficamente parlando dalle parti Colòn, a metà strada tra Matanzas e Santa Clara, isola di Cuba....

Maybe it's an Allen's hummingbird: During the evening hours (due to the different time zone) take a look here:
www.bellahummingbird.com/Bella-Nest-Cam.html
You must be patient twice; the first to wait for the image to appear after you clik the arrow in the dark field, the second in the case that the female is away for feeding. At the time of writing he is hatching :-).
The link of the images coming live from the Verne in California.

Thank you all.
The beak is almost finished there, very sharp. Unfortunately mounted with the 18-35 I could not do more, I consider myself lucky to have already caught so :-D
@Francesco: Could be ... the map of the distribution, however, it seems that the people of the island of Cuba. I've seen the video, is hatching. "My" copy appears to have the beak slightly shorter ...
