In pianura cominciano i primi caldi, ma sui monti c'è ancora neve. Gli astri estivi cominciano a farsi vedere ed è ora di ricominciare a fotografare il cielo notturno dopo la pausa invernale. Il meteo indicava sabato notte come buona per delle riprese, così dopo cena parto per arrivare al sorgere della Via Lattea. Si tratta di un sentiero facile, ma che grazie alla neve che di giorno scioglie, si trovano dei tratti ghiacciati in cui si deve prestare attenzione e lo spessore della neve aumenta man mano che mi avvicino al lago Pera che sarà la mia destinazione. Ogni tanto la neve mi rallenta perché la crosta non riesce a supportare il mio peso,ma sono comunque in anticipo. Prima di fotografare faccio un salto su una vetta lì vicino e ci trovo il teschio rovinato di un probabile giovane stambecco che non è riuscito a superare l'inverno. Poco dopo comincio a cercare un buon punto di ripresa, ma intanto la Via Lattea comincia ad alzarsi, una volta trovato aspetto a -8° la posizione in cui voglio sia posizionata la Via Lattea. Il colore arancio nel cielo è tutto dovuto all'inquinamento luminoso che proviene dai paesi che stanno a valle del lago Pera. Dopo questo scatto voglio attendere l'alba per delle altre foto. Sapendo che avrei dovuto aspettare, mi sono portato un sacco a pelo leggero ed un materassino che mi permettono di isolarmi dalle temperature esterne. Intanto il vento si è alzato, e cerco un posto abbastanza riparato dove poter riposare per un'oretta. Una conca naturale mi offre un po' di protezione una volta infilatomi nel sacco, ma ogni tanto qualche buffo di neve mosso dal vento mi arriva sul viso. Riesco a dormire poco più di mezz'ora, poi, inesorabile, la sveglia suona. L'intenzione era quella di fotografare il lago Pera, ma la neve copriva lo specchio d'acqua con almeno un metro e mezzo di neve. Comunque trovo quasi subito la composizione ed aspetto che le cime si colorino. Ma qualche nuvola blocca i raggi del sole. Sono comunque riuscito ad ottenere uno scatto buono nell'ora blu. Nell'immagine scattata poco prima dell'alba si è formata una strana nuvola bianca sulla cima che è tutta neve mossa dal vento.
